Jerry and Gail Gramelspacher will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Jerry Gramelspacher and Gail Gootee were married on Sept. 19, 1970, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. The Rev. James E. Koressel officiated.
The bride chose her friend Susan McGovren as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kay Reger and Judy Leinenbach, sisters of the groom. The flower girl was Gwen Mehringer, sister of the bride.
The groom chose his friend Neal Heidel as best man. Groomsmen were George Gootee and Greg Gootee, brothers of the bride. The ring bearer was Todd Leinenbach, nephew of the groom.
The Gramelspachers have two children, Christina (Tony) Zazzetti of Jasper and Michael (Addie) Gramelspacher of Carrollton, Illinois, and nine grandchildren.
Mr. Gramelspacher worked at Mehringer’s Plumbing and Heating for 23 years; he owned Jerry’s Remodeling and retired in 2016. He currently works part time at Dubois County Community Corrections. Mrs. Gramelspacher retired as Dubois County Assessor in 2018.
