Al and Judy Bennett will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Al Bennett and Judy Hufschmitt were married on Setp. 12, 1970 in Urbana, Illinois. The Rev. Charles H. Martell officiated.
The bride chose her sister, Jeanne (Hufschmitt) Gowen as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Bonnie (Bill) Wingo and Carole (Stephen) Whiteside, friends of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Stephen Bennett as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Wold and Kenneth Schmitz, friends of the groom.
The ushers were Joseph Hufschmitt and and Harry Bergman.
The couple has two children: Kathryne Marie Bennett of San Francisco, California and Abigail Anne Truesdale of Huntingburg. They also have three grandchilren.
Mr. Bennett owned Precision Cutting Tools. Inc. prior to retirement. Mrs. Bennett owns Bittersweet Healing Arts in Jasper.
The couple plans to celebrate with a Mass of Blessing at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper on Sept. 12 with a reception to follow at a later date.
