5-5-5 continues through August

HUNTINGBURG — The City of Huntingburg is hosting the seventh annual 5-5-5. The 5-5-5 will take place at 5 p.m. Fridays, May 10, June 14, July 12 and Aug. 9.

The 5-5-5 is a series of monthly 5K fun walks and runs intended to give people a chance to exercise in an enjoyable group setting. The program was created by Huntingburg Mayor Spinner.

Children and adults of every fitness level are encouraged to participate in “5-5-5.” Participants should meet at Huntingburg City Hall, located at 508 E. Fourth St., prior to the 5 p.m. start time. There will be no timers during each 5K as it is meant to be a social opportunity that incorporates physical activity.

Participants must sign in at the registration table prior to each event, but are only required to sign a waiver before to their first event. Waivers are available at www.huntingburg-in.gov. Water and healthy snacks will be provided at the end of each 5K. Those who participate in all five events will receive a free T-shirt.
