40 years: Tim and Sue Kern

Tim and Sue (Wollenmann) Kern of Dale, IN will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on July 18th, 2021.

They were married July 18th, 1981 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand, IN by Fr. Kenneth Graehler. Attendants were Cindy (Wollenmann) Carter, Jim Kern, Cheryl (Blake) Wollenmann, Michael Wollenmann, Lori Kivela, Mark Wollenmann, Gary Klem, and the late Betty Haake. Flower girl was Michelle (Wollenmann) Blalock. Servers were Jeff and Tim Wollenmann.

They have three married daughters, Casandra Kern-Fuhs (Ross) Fuhs; Melissa (Travis) Ward; and Vanessa (Zach) Mischler. They have seven grandchildren, Liam, Lily, Parker, and Preston Ward, Carly and Ralston Fuhs, and Jack Mischler.

Tim retired after 20 years at Toyota Motor Mfg. Indiana as a maintenance team member. He previously had worked at Alcoa and Old Ben Coal company. Sue retired from Southwest Dubois Co. School Corporation initially starting at Holland Elementary School and later at Southridge Middle School where she taught 6th grade Math and Science. Sue previously was a preschool teacher at North Spencer Child Development Center and also was teacher/director at Hummingbird Nursery School at Holland, IN.

An anniversary celebration was hosted by their children at Sultan’s Run Golf Course in Jasper, IN.
