ELNORA — The Daviess County Sheriff's Office has identified the four people killed in a Thursday evening crash south of Elnora, in northern Daviess County.
The sheriff's office responded to the injury crash at State Road 58 and Daviess County Road 425E at 6:30 p.m.
Police say Matthew Grimes, 26, Evansville, was traveling southbound driving a 2013 Chrysler 200 with passengers Jessica Krohn, 24, Evansville; Maddalynn Grimes, 5, North Charleston, South Carolina; and Isabella Pfingston, 7, Boonville. For an unknown reason, Grimes failed to yield the right of way to Rodney Page who was traveling westbound driving a 2018 Ford F-150 with no passengers.
The collision resulted in the deaths of all occupants of Grimes' vehicle.
Page, 41, Plainville, was transported to the Daviess Community Hospital with a head injury.
Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash at this time, however, toxicology reports are pending.
The investigation is ongoing.
Indiana State Police, the Odon Town Marshal, Elnora Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Coroner’s Office and Southwest Ambulance assisted.
