3 to vie for Miss Flame

CHRISNEY — The Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association District 18 will host their annual parade and Miss Flame Contest in Chrisney on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. CT with lineup beginning at noon CT at the Chrisney Youth and Community Center. The parade will start at the YCC and travel through main street and end at 900N.

Those vying for Miss Flame are:

Aubrey Luebbehusen

Aubrey Luebbehusen is 16 years old and a sophomore at Forest Park High School. She is the daughter of Bill and Theresa Luebbehusen and represents the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department. Aubrey is a member of the Forest Park Band, and during the marching season, she is a member of the color guard. She is a member of Business Professionals of America and is involved in 4-H. She is a server at Christ The King Parish and volunteers at Vacation Bible School during the summer. Aubrey is employed at Holiday World and Bargain Barn. She enjoys taking care of her pets and being outdoors.






Jazlyn O’Brian

Jazlyn O’Brian is 16 years old and a sophomore at Northeast Dubois High School. She is the daughter of Glen and Lori O’Brian and represents the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department. Jazlyn is a member of the swimming and track teams and a member of 4-H and 4-H Shooting Sports. She is a volunteer at the Celestine Community Club and a member of St. Isidore Parish.









Ali Welp

Ali Welp is 17 years old and a senior at Forest Park High School. She is the daughter of Marvin and Mindy Welp and represents the Schnellville Volunteer Fire Department. Ali is a member of Beta, Natural Helpers, and SADD. She is a member of the Forest Park volleyball, basketball and softball teams. Ali attends Sacred Heart Church and is member of the Youth Group. She helps with functions hosted by the Schnellville VFD, including dinners, shooting matches and the picnic.
