JASPER — Police arrested two women on drug charges after being called late Thursday night to the report of a suspicious vehicle at an apartment complex.
The Jasper Police Department made contact with Latasha J. Mullen, 23, 11425 S. Whispering Pine Drive, Huntingburg, and Marissa D. England, 19, 515 E. State Road 164, Jasper, after being called at 11:07 p.m. to apartments at 1300 Dewey St.
During the ensuing investigation, K-9 Ares was deployed. Police who allege Ares alerted on the women’s Ford Explorer report locating methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia during a search of the vehicle.
Mullen and England were booked early today into the Dubois County Security Center on preliminary Level 6 felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and preliminary misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
