2 taken to hospital after single-vehicle crashApril 9, 2021

Two people were transported to the hospital Friday after a single-vehicle crash on State Road 162 between Countrywood Estates and County Road 350 South, about three miles south of Jasper.
Officers arrived on scene to find a 2002 Chevy S10 down a steep embankment. The vehicle was driven by Nicholas Schepers, 25, of Indianapolis and he had a passenger, Paul Knies, 83, of Jasper. The vehicle was traveling north on State Road 162 when Schepers went across the center line and left the roadway on the west side of the road, ultimately going down a steep embankment.
Both Schepers and Knies were transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper
The St. Anthony Fire Department, Memorial EMS and Bergs Wrecker Service assisted Dubois County Sheriff's Office deputies on scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
