TROY — Two drivers were injured in a Tuesday night crash in southeast Spencer County near the Perry County line.
Taken to area hospitals to be treated for injuries were Edgar M. Ortega, 43, Dale, and Leslie D. Rudisill, 62, Evansville, according to Indiana State Police from the Jasper Post.
Troopers and Spencer County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called at 9:52 p.m. ET to the report of a crash with multiple injuries at State Road 66 and Spencer County Road 1250E/Evanston Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Ortega pulled into the path of a 2003 Ford F-250 that Rudisill was driving on the highway.
State Road 66 was shut down while the scene was investigated.
Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
