From Local Sources
CRYSTAL — Two people suffered injury Sunday morning when their motorcycle collided with a deer east of Crystal.
Timothy C. Lagenour, 54, Dubois, was northbound on County Road 900E on a 1995 Kawasaki motorcycle when the 9:06 a.m. accident occurred a half-mile north of State Road 56, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said the Kawasaki collided with a deer that came onto the roadway, injuring Lagenour and his female passenger, Shawn R. Fox, 35, Dubois.
Both were transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. The sheriff’s department said Lagenour was later airlifted to St. Vincent Evansville. A St. Vincent spokesman said Lagenour was listed in fair condition today.
Fox was treated and released, according to a Memorial Hospital spokesperson.
A deputy said the crash totaled the Kawasaki and Lagenour was ticketed for driving while suspended.
The Dubois Volunteer Fire Department’s first responders, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a Uebelhor & Sons wrecker assisted.
