INDIANAPOLIS — Two young men have been convicted in connection with the 2017 drug-related robbery and fatal shootings of three men in an Indianapolis apartment.
The Marion County prosecutor’s office says Troy Ward and Martell Williams were convicted Monday following a six-day trial. Ward was convicted of charges including three counts of murder and three counts of felony murder while Williams was convicted of charges including three counts of felony murder.
Sentencing is Nov. 20.
Twenty-five-year-old Dominique Miller, 25-year-old Jordan Wright and 19-year-old Justin Crowder were slain July 16, 2017. Witnesses testified Ward and Williams were involved in a plan to rob Crowder in his apartment. During the course of that robbery, they said Ward fatally shot the three men.
Three additional defendants agreed to plead guilty and testified at the trial.
