1 killed in Boonville-area crash

BOONVILLE — One person was killed in a Thursday afternoon crash west of Boonville.
Pronounced dead at the scene of the 2:05 p.m. accident was 39-year-old Karin Ramirez of Boonville, according to the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say Ramirez was westbound on State Road 62 when her vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes and left the roadway near Baker Road. The vehicle struck several parked vehicles in a used car lot on the south side of the roadway and flipped.
Ramirez was the only occupant, according to authorities.
Indiana State Police and the Warrick County Coroner’s Office are assisting in the investigation. The Boonville Police Department also assisted at the scene.
