JASPER — One driver was transported to the hospital with neck and back pain after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Jasper.
The Jasper Police Department responded to the crash on U.S. 231 near HRJ Lane at 11:33 a.m.
Brynn Koss of Princeton was traveling north on U.S. 231 in a 2018 Dodge Journey near the intersection of HRJ Lane when Koss allegedly failed to see a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Mike Fawks of Jasper that was stopped, facing north, attempting to make a left hand turn onto HRJ Lane.
The front end of the Koss Dodge collided with the rear of the Fawks Silverado.
Koss complained of neck and back pain and was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. Fawks had facial lacerations that were treated at the scene.
Koss’ Dodge was determined a total loss and was towed from the scene. Damage to Fawks’ Silverado was estimated at $2,000.
Koss was cited for following two closely.
