Wildcats fall to Highlanders in semistate

Floyd Central fought off match point at No. 2 doubles and rallied to win the match, sending the sixth-ranked Highlanders past No. 3 Jasper 3-2 in Saturday's girls tennis semistate at the Ed Yarbrough Tennis Complex in Jasper.

Floyd Central won the No. 2 doubles battle 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

Jasper earned its two wins in straight sets, with Maria Leuken triumphing at No. 2 singles and Anna Flick capturing No. 3 singles.
