Thelma Florence “Aunt Sammie” Smith, 87, French Lick, died at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Medco Health and Rehabilitation Center in French Lick.
Surviving are three daughters, Glenda Purkhiser and husband Steve of French Lick, Regina Byers of Sellersburg and Judy Glodek and husband Richard of Westland, Mich.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many foster children. She has extended family in Dubois County.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at T.L Pinnick Mortuary, 785 S. Bears Bend Road, French Lick. Interment will be in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
