Meeting: Jasper Plan

The Jasper Plan Commission met Wednesday and:

”¢ Denied Greg Luegers’ request for a modification from the subdivision control standards. Luegers wants to place a subdivision with a cul-de-sac on land north of Skyview Drive and was looking to extend Gregory Lane to access it, making the cul-de-sac 1,600 feet long. City rules allow a cul-de-sac to be 600 feet maximum. The board said that accessing the nearby Ryan Road would make better sense. Luegers said he didn’t propose that because Ryan Road has very little traffic now and children tend to frequent it with their bicycles.

”¢ Gave secondary approval to a plat for DeMotte’s First Addition, located west of Lechner Lane between Second Street and Andrew Lane. The plat will comprise two lots, said Phil Buehler of Brosmer Land Surveying, who represented developers Timothy and Bethany DeMotte.

Ӣ Recommended the city council approve updates to the standards and specifications manual that companies use when doing work that affects city streets. Many of the changes involve altering wording, adding more descriptions and illustrations and fixing typographical errors.
