Meeting: Dubois County Council


The Dubois County Council met Monday and:

”¢ Formally approved $44,242 in emergency funds for the county’s community corrections program. A story can be found here.

”¢ OK’d $90,000 to cover the highway department’s fuel expenses through the end of the year.

”¢ Approved a series of requests from Superior Court Judge Mark McConnell, including an additional $30,000 to pay for court-appointed attorneys. McConnell also was allowed to transfer $5,000 to pay for new law books and repair broken stenographer equipment. The money, which will come from the court’s medical, psychiatric and interpreter account, will be split evenly into the maintenance and law book funds.

”¢ Approved $15,000 to cover the coroner’s autopsy and toxicology costs through the end of the year.
