”¢ Learned that it will cost between $10,000 and $13,000 to upgrade the highway department’s fuel usage software. The department tracks how much fuel each county agency uses. Highway Superintendant Steve Berg would like to switch to the same software used by the federal government. He said it could take several weeks before the new software is delivered and installed.

”¢ Reminded the public that recyclables may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve at the sanitation sites in Jasper, Huntingburg, Ireland, Haysville and Holland as well as the Pine Ridge Road site. But the sites in Ferdinand and Dubois will be closed.
