Hoptown jumps on Bombers

The Hoptown Hoppers invaded League Stadium on Friday night and hung a 13-4 loss on the Dubois County Bombers, breaking up their undefeated start after four wins to open the season.

Hoptown darted to a 7-2 lead in the fourth inning to chase Bombers starter Spencer Sapp from the game; Sapp allowed six hits while walking two and fanning two in 32⁄3 innings of work.
Bo Ausmus, Garret Gordan and Andre Davis all delivered two hits for the Bombers, with Ausmus driving home two runs on a third-inning single.

The Bombers (4-1) will visit Madisonville tonight at 8 before returning to Huntingburg to host the same team Sunday at 6 p.m.
