Sandy Terwiske of Dubois, right, the mother of fallen Marine Lance Cpl. Alec Terwiske, was comforted by one of Alec’s former classmates at Northeast Dubois High School, Jordan Kahle of Dubois, during a dedication ceremony in Alec’s honor Saturday between games of the Northeast Dubois Baseball Classic in Dubois. Alec was killed during combat operations Sept. 3 in Afghanistan. Also participating in the ceremony was Alec’s former classmate Elliot Matheis of Dubois, left. The number 30, which Alec wore while a member of the Jeep baseball team, was hung on the right field fence. Members of the Jeep baseball team also wore caps sporting desert camouflage during their games Saturday.
