The syndrome is a genetic disorder that can cause a chronic feeling of hunger that can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity. Powell got to know Nass when he wrote Saturday features about her in 1988 when she was HuntingburgÕs new mayor and in 1999 when she was state auditor.
