JASPER — The Jasper Police Department arrested 30-year-old Terrell D. Price, of 885 Conrad Ave., at 11:41 a.m. Friday and charged him with drunken driving (test refusal), a Class D felony count of battery on a police officer and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
Price was driving a Pontiac Firebird south on Third Avenue when he crossed the center line and was pulled over near Hilary Drive, according to police. He refused a Breathalyzer test, hit the investigating officer and tried to flee on foot, police said.
Price was charged and booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:40 p.m.
HUNTINGBURG — A Holland resident was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia during a traffic stop early this morning.
Michael E. Cunningham, 28, of 9482 Old State Road 64, Holland, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger westbound on State Road 64 when he was stopped for a broken tail light near the intersection with U.S. 231 at 12:54 a.m. During the stop, officers located marijuana and a smoking pipe, according to the Huntingburg Police Department.
Cunningham was booked into the security center at 2:05 a.m. and charged with a Class D felony county of illegal possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia.
