Elizabeth Metzger and Brandon Etienne

Elizabeth Metzger and Brandon Etienne were married Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Louisville, Ky. The ceremony took place at 2 p.m. in St. Brigid Catholic Church. Father J. Edward Bradley officiated.

Paul and Ann Metzger of Henderson, Ky., and Joseph and Darlina Etienne of Owensboro, Ky., are parents of the couple. Dorothy Helming of Ferdinand is the grandmother of the bride.

Musicians for the ceremony were Jacob Hein, organ; Ashley Kruth, vocalist; Michael Swope and Seth Burkhardt, trumpets; Kate Swope, horn; Ian Gregory, trombone; and Brandon Neal, tuba.

The offertory gifts were presented by Julian and Carson English, nephews of the bridegroom. Lectors were the bridegroom’s mother and Jerry Metzger, godfather of the bride. Eucharistic ministers were Elaine Astrike, godmother of the bride, and Phillip Metzger, uncle of the bride.

Attendants for the bride were Elizabeth Neel, Kirstin Henry, Rachel Hobbs, Hannah Pruitt, Courtney Schisler and Baely Slaton, friends of the couple.

The bridegroom’s attendants were Ryan Duffy, Dan Gomby, Blake Hayden, Alex Lyddane, Ryan Olexa and Adam Thomas, friends of the couple.

A reception was held at the Kaden Tower Civic Center following the ceremony.

The couple is residing in Henderson, Ky., after a wedding trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride and bridegroom received Master in the Art of Teaching degrees  from the University of Louisville in 2013. The bride is the general music teacher at Estes Elementary School in Owensboro. Mr. Etienne is assistant director of bands at Henderson County High School in Henderson.
