50 years: Russell and Loretta Jaent

Russell and Loretta “Toby” Jaent of Jasper will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Feb. 9, with a Mass at 4 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. A reception for invited guests at American Legion Post 147, Jasper, will follow. They request no gifts.

Russell Jaent and Loretta Allen were married Feb. 9, 1963, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Ireland. Father Carl Shetler officiated. Their attendants were Ramona (Leinenbach) Junge, Frances (Hulsman) Leinenbach, Mary (Rohleder) Bohnert, Diane (Matthews) McAllister, John B. Allen, Robert L. Allen, Gary Schmidt and the late Joseph Jaent, Dennis Leinenbach and William Kalb.

The Jaents are parents of three children, Angela C. Wilson, Bryan J. Jaent and Cynthia A. Roelle. They have five grandchildren; one is deceased.

Mr. Jaent is employed by Gaylor Electric of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Jaent retired as manager of Disinger Jewelers of Jasper and from nursing.
