50 years: Charles and LaVerne Weisman

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weisman, 4777 N. 550W, Jasper, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 24, with a Mass of thanksgiving at 5 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Ireland. A dinner for invited guests will follow. The Weismans also took a vacation with their children and grandchildren to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., earlier in the year.

Charles Weisman and LaVerne Beyke were married Aug. 24, 1963, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. Their attendants were Susan (Beyke) Mendel, Marlene (Weisman) Mann, Dianne (Hanselman) Klein, Dorothy (Knust) Keusch, John Weisman, Norm Kreig and the late Ken Mendel and Ralph Keusch.

The Weismans are the parents of three sons, Phil Weisman and wife Stacy and Chris Weisman and wife Amy, both of Jasper, and Barry Weisman and wife Michelle of Evansville. They have seven grandchildren.

Mr. Weisman retired from Kindill No. 2 Mine.
